Anne Arundel Community Development Services
In 2007 the Anne Arundel Community Development Services presented the Carol M. Jacobsohn Foundation with a Certificate of Appreciation for its “continued support of programs and activities to create a better quality of life for citizens of Anne Arundel County and for [its] ongoing efforts to provide home ownership opportunities for low income women and their children through the Mortgage Assistance Program.”
In connection with the Certificate of Appreciation, Henry N. Libby and the Carol M. Jacobsohn Foundation were recognized by the County Executive, John R. Leopold, with an Executive Citation “acknowledging the Foundation’s commitment to assisting female heads of households achieve their dream of home ownership.”
In an effort to better understand the businesses of the Foundation's grantees, Mr. Libby sat for 5 years on the Anne Arundel County Community College's Foundation, and 2 years as Board as President. He also sits on and works with the grantees Board of Directors. For instance, Mr. Libby was on the Board and on the Executive Committee and Finance Committee of the Boys and Girls Club, past member of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County and Investment Committee, Vision Workshops (Past President), and Project Lift (9 years on the board and 2 years as President). Additionally, Mrs. Libby was a member of the Board of Tykes & Teens. In the past, Mr. Libby also sat on the boards of the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation, The Annapolis Maritime Museum (Executive Committee), the South River Federation (Executive Committee), and Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
